Island Gypsy had three old and unused transducers. With all three transducers removed, it was found that an existing fairing block and hole could be used, and the other two holes will be filled and glassed over.

The area where the transducers are located is just forward of the engines, one easily accessable, this hole will be reused. The other mounting area is under the water system pumps. These pumps had to be temporarily disconnected and removed to gain access.

One transducer took nearly an hour to get out as it was literally "over glued" to the hull. Two broken hammers later, it was finally out.

The old signal wires have been removed where practical, old wiring cleaned up, and ready to run the new transducer cable.

*update - signal wire pulled from transducer to head unit, power connected to existing power block and of course it works. Head unit doesn't have power switch, a nice rocker switch will be installed next to the unit.
